We offer paid commercial and non-profit sponsorship opportunities, which will allow your ad or coupon offer to appear each week in The Baja Onionskin. We offer two advertising formats, text-based ads, or horizontal "banner" display ads.
1. Paid Commercial and Non-Profit "Boxed" Text-based Ads
Paid Commercial and Non-Profit "Boxed" Text-based Ads - Paid Commercial and Non-Profit Text-based Ads will be highlighted in a display box like the one shown here. You can offer coupon specials to allow you to track response to your ad, and include your contact name, address, phone numbers, Email and website along with small illustrative graphic or logo.

Illustrative graphics accompanying text-based ads or articles should be in JPG, GIF, BMP or Tiff format at a minimum of 300 dpi resolution, and no wider than 2" or higher than 0.75".
2. Commercial and Non-Profit Horizontal "Banner" Ads
Horizontal Banner ads should be in JPG, GIF, BMP or Tiff format at a minimum of 300 dpi resolution, and no larger than 7.5" wide by 1" high.
Our normal Sponsorship rate is $30 US per week for up to 3 lines of text. Special Introductory Offer! - For a limited time, we're offering a 50% discount off all our regular Sponsorship rates!
Baja Onionskin Commercial Ad Rates
Boxed Text-based Ads 7.5" wide:
1 to 3 lines = $15 a week
4 to 6 lines = $30 a week
7 to 9 lines = $40 a weekBanner Ads 7.5" wide:
1" high = $20 a week
2" high = $30 a week
3" high = $40 a week"Business Card-sized" Boxed Text or Banner Ads, 3.75" wide X 2.00" High:
Up to 9 lines or 2.00" high = $20 a week
We also offer a 10% discount for sponsorships to run for 13 weeks or more, and a 15% discount for sponsorships to run 26 weeks. Bona fide non-profits (Asociación Civil) may be eligible to receive an additional 50% discount from these rates. Please note that all ads for businesses or profit-making ventures where you are charging for goods or services are treated as commercial ads.

Sponsorship Payment Information
All ads must be submitted and prepaid by 5PM Wednesday in order to be included in the Friday edition. We can accept cash, checks drawn on Mexican or U.S. banks, credit cards, or payment through PayPal. All prices shown are in US Dollars. For payment in pesos, our rate is tied to the current daily exchange rate as listed at http://www.x-rates.com.

Payment in Todos Santos By Cash or Mexican Checks
You can pay by cash or a Mexican check placed in a sealed envelope at the El Tecolote Book Store in Todos Santos. If you wish to pay in pesos, please note our rate is tied to the daily exchange rate at X Rates.com: http://www.x-rates.com/d/MXN/table.html. Please make all Mexican checks payable to: Al Portador, and address the envelope to "The Baja Onionskin". Be sure to include information with your payment identifying the ad and the advertiser.

Banner Ad Creation and Editing Services
If you need help creating or editing your banner ad or image to conform to the above sizes, we can provide this service for $25 per hour. Display banner ads typically take an hour to edit, or two to three hours to create and place, and will be billed at the rate of $25 per hour. Changes to banner ads during existing sponsorship campaigns will be billed at the rate of $25 per hour, with a minimum of one hour per change.
