"Opinion" Pieces - It's been said that "Opinions are like bellybuttons; everyone has one." An opinion piece is an article that mainly reflects the author's opinion about a subject. Opinion pieces are featured in many magazines and newspapers, and occasionally we've reprinted them in the Baja Western Onion. Opinion pieces include things like restaurant reviews or criticisms of government policies. They're often long on personal views and short on facts. But opinion pieces also tend to cause arguments, since someone always has a different view or "opinion." Rather than pitting one side against another or allowing a fight to break out in the Onion between warring opinions, we simply will not publish any more opinion pieces. We regret reprinting any of these types of articles that may have upset any our readers. Also, beginning this issue, we've redesigned the Baja Western Onion to make it shorter. News and Events, Questions and AnswersTropical Depression 2E - At 830 am PDT...1530 UTC...the center of tropical depression two-e was located near latitude 14.8 north...longitude 95.6 west. The depression is stationary but a slow west-northwestward motion is expected to begin later today. On the forecast track...the center of the tropical cyclone is expected to be very near the coast of México within the warning area over the next day or two.

He can jump my wall and often does. He heads to town where he has numerous favorite hangouts - the bookstore, Tacos Chilakos, and Buena Vida, among others. I call him Dusty, others call him Pancho. He is frequently gone for 48 hours, occasionally for as long as four days, but never a week, which is how long it has been since I've seen him. He has not been sighted at any of his other haunts. His last known sighting was by Cruz at the bookstore last Tuesday. He followed a friendly couple over to Chilakos, and hasn't been seen since.
