Missing Husky/shepard Mix - I saw a post saying that they saw a husky tied up under a palapa on the way to cerritos, I just searched the entire area and did find dog tracks and poo but no dog. I'm absolutely sure this is my dog, i lot him in that are two months ago and i live close to that area. I just posted another article quoting the Anonymous person who posted the article. If You Are Involved In A Traffic Accident - What attorney Castillo says is probably correct and maybe if you are a Mexican it works. I have now had the misfortune of being involved in 2 accidents in Mexico, neither of which was my fault. The first was in TS right on Topete and I followed the procedure that Mr Castillo recomends. I will not follow that procedure again if I can help it. As for when the Aquila bus runs away it would seem quite pointless to wait for the police to wander by (no cell phone coverage). My position is if the other person stays at the scene then I will too. Otherwise, I am out of there. In both my cases the insurance seemed to prefer dealing with me as a "hit and run" victim. Police In Cuidad Constitución (courtesy, Baja Pony Express) - Hi Everyone, just to let you know, the Police in Constitution are on a rampage, giving out lots of tickets. The police are usually positioned in front of Leys supermarket on the southbound frontage road, and as you come into town from the north, in front of Biria Jalisco, southbound frontage road. Remember, the speed limit on the highway through town is 40km. The speed limit on frontage, and side streets is 25km. My advice is to get your fuel in Insurgentes, 12 miles north of Constitution. If you must stop in Constitution you will probably be pulled over, and given a ticket, they will find something wrong. FYI, we have started Magdalena B&B in Puerto San Carlos. Ocean Rescue & Lifeguard Refresher Course - The USP (Union para Seguridad en las Playas)will be offering their Ocean Rescue & Lifeguard Refresher course June 6-9 at Playa los Cerritos. The course will include ocean rescue, first aid, and beach supervision strategies. The course is open to all surfers, swimmers, lifeguards, and anyone interested in improving their lifeguard skills or becoming a lifeguard. Lifeguard positions will be available at Playa los Cerritos beginning July 2010.

Mi Perro Muy Vago - Many of you know him. He can jump my wall and often does. He heads to town where he has numerous favorite hangouts - the bookstore, Tacos Chilakos, and Buena Vida, among others. I call him Dusty, others call him Pancho. He is frequently gone for 48 hours, occasionally for as long as four days, but never a week, which is how long it has been since I've seen him. He has not been sighted at any of his other haunts. His last known sighting was by Cruz at the bookstore last Tuesday. He followed a friendly couple over to Chilakos, and hasn't been seen since. I and all of his other fans and supporters would really like news of him. He is Baja tan, has some pitbull in his face and carriage, is incredibly friendly and likes to pretend that, despite his extremely loyal following, he has been abandoned. Beyond Pitiful - there is a pitiful looking Husky/Shepperd mix dog on the road down to cerritos beach. It has a section of a rope tied around its neck and has not eaten for WEEKS by the looks of it and has mangy spots all over. It seems to have been tied up and abandoned at a lot that has a palapa being built on it on the right hand side of the road as you drive towards the beach.
