UPS Office Now In La Paz (courtesty La Paz Gringos) - UPS has set up shop in La Paz and is open for business. They are located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Forjadores and Isabel la Catolica, catty-corner to the school in a small white strip-mall office complex. (This is about 100 feet after you turn left onto Isabel la Catolica from 5 de Febrero.) I UPSed a letter to Bathurst, NB Canada. It cost $351 pesos. This will arrive on Tuesday because of the lateness of the day. Had I brought it in before 1:30 PM (for both international and national) I would have gained a day. There is no published price list per se. The young man looked up the price to Canada and then New Brunswick which is on the East Coast of Canada. Here is the phone number he gave me for publication to all of you. 612-128-6824. This is a land line. International to USA is 3-7 days. Three days to Texas and 7 days to CA, OR and WA on the west coast and 7 days on the Northern East Coast. You can pick a post card detailing the scheduled service.
