Lost Dog! - Lost Dog - Please help us find our dog! There was an accident on Sunday, January 3rd around 2 pm at KM 224 1/2 on highway 1, 55 km north of the Bahia Los Angeles turn off at Punta Prieta. Our dog was inside the van that rolled and when he got out he ran off into the desert and we were unable to find him after searching hours and days.
His name is "Pickle". He is a tan lab/great dane mix. He is very friendly but I'm sure very scared. He was wearing a collar with a name tag that had our numbers on it; both U.S. and Mexico. He was last seen by a witness, running west into the desert at km 224 1/2. I feel he may have forund a ranch somewhere in the area.
The reward has been increased to $500 U.S. but I am willing to do what it takes to get my sweet boy back.
If anyone has seen him or knows of anything, please let me know.

Fishing Trip - During my fishing trip in the company of Mexican fishermen,Captain Arturo and his artful pilot Augustin Agundez I was reminded of the men in the film'Vacaro Corazon'(the hit movie of the 2009 Todos Santos Film Festival).The entire day on the sea from launch to landing I knew I was in the hands of masters.Arturo(Roscoe)Perez and Augustin handled the 90hp Honda like a purring cat.
We traveled up the coast about 18 miles observing the dance of the manta rays and tail waving whales.We caught enough dorado for me and my 2 companions to take home for dinner.We shared our lunch and, Mexican and gringos alike,laughed a lot at our 'gringo' foibles.A school of dolphins swam with the panga as we rolled back to Punta Lobos.
To be on the ocean in the company of these fishermen is my idea of Baja heaven
