El Triunfo Art Festival - Just a reminder that the third annual El Triunfo Art Festival will be this Sunday!! Last year was really fun, I missed the first one...but especially fun for Todos Santos locals is the fact that Mark Sparh will have his wood oven fired up for a great day of yummie pizza by the slice at the front of the coffee shop, his regular menu of sweets and goodies in the coffee shop and then reserved seating in the back garden if you want to relax and sit and enjoy a great lunch. Alot of locals have already been to his new place and know how nice it is, but if you haven't it's a beautiful drive over there this time of year!
Along with pizza, he serves great organic salads, a daily sandwich with meat that has been roasted in the wood oven, pork, beef, turkey, yum! Along with his breads he serves a killer cup of coffee with all the great pastries. If you haven't tried it--go! Great outing for visitors! A lot of fun hand made things from the local Mexican community are featured, it's definitely different than the other festivals and alot of fun! See you there. Donations For The Internado - As I have misplaced the note with the account number for donations for the Internado, please have it re-printed in one of your upcoming issues. Thank you. - Jurg Wiesendanger, lapoza [-at-] prodigy.net.mx, 1450400
Fraudulent Emails - As mentioned by MaryAnn Douglas, I have also received many "phishing" emails re Bank of America and Paypal accounts recently. It is advised by these 2 companies that you forward these emails to their appropriate departments that deal with fraud. That would be abuse [-at-] bankofamerica.com and in the case of Paypal, spoof [-at-] paypal.com. Neither of these companies would send you an email that starts out "Dear Customer" or other that does not include your name. That's your first tip off. - Dale Townsend, milagrodale [-at-] yahoo.com
Dead Pelicans Update - Thanks to concerned members of our community who donated, enough funds were raised to not only clean up the La Poza lagoon and its surrounding beach areas, but the crew can now also collect and bury all the dead pelicans to be found all the way up to the Las Tunas beaches. This was a very dire situation, and we so appreciate those of you who responded so swiftly to our call to action. - Wendy And Elena, info [-at-] artosan.com, www.artosan.com
Thinking Of Building? - First take time to know our community and the sensitive environmental conditions of our area. Please, no building on our dunes or in the oasis areas; no vehicles on the dunes or beaches (in accordance with Mexican federal law). Help us preserve the natural beauty of Southern Baja California. - ARTOSAN A.C.; Asociación de Usuarios de Agua de Todos Santos, A.C. ; Asociación de Residentes La Poza A.C.; Circulos, Inc.; Asociación de Residentes La Cachora, A.C.; WAIKURI A.C.
Dual Canadian/Mexican Citizenship - If you are Canadian and thinking of Mexican citizenship - but was worried that you might loose all that cool stuff you get just because you exist - then you might want to read this for the WSJ online article.

Britain's Got Talent - Susan Boyle - You may have already seen this video (over five million hits this week) but in case you haven't, please enjoy Susan Boyle's performance from last week's episode 1 of Britain's Got Talent tryouts in Scotland.
