ROAD CONDITIONS 11/5/06---  Just arrived in San Diego from Todos Santos. The drive is just fine. There are still a few places where the asphalt was washed off, so just watch for the orange signs warning that there's loose gravel, but it's not bad at all. Travel safe... Sylvia
HOUSE SITTING I recently returned from the mainland to find that my place, Las Palmas Casitas, is uninhabitable for me or for guests due to dust, dirt,diesel smell and noise from the transport truck detour off the highway.

Guests I'm sending elsewhere...now there's me with swollen eyes, stuffed up sinuses, difficult breathing.

The work will theoretically be finished in 15 days. I am open to house sitting or...?  with a flexible end point depending on your needs. I would be there every night and intermittently during the day. Thanks, Janel Beeman 145-0213
HELP!!! If anyone is flying down in the next few days, I am desperate to get my thyroid medication delivered to me. I have lost my supply, can't get this medication here, and the DHL package is stuck somewhere in La Paz. Thanks to the Hamilton Family for rescuing these two little guys from Punto Lobos last week. They are now at Mariposa's in Pescadero waiting for a loving home. As some of you may not know, Punto Lobos, the fishermen's beach, is where a number of dogs are abandoned -- including puppies like these. The dogs live off of fish scraps tossed by the fishermen as well as occasional dog chow provided by concerned Todos Santos residents. Some do make it to El Refugio for eventual adoption.
