I recently learned from Lynn Ballen that Soriana's in Cabo will deliver anything we order to Todos Santos. She did a trial run and was 95% pleased.

There is only a $20 delivery charge (same as gas to go there) and they asked that we tell all our friends....that way they will feel it is worth their while to keep it up. They shop for you in the store and even tell you if "the green beans are not looking that great". They knew Lynn wanted green beans, and after reporting on their condition saw a load being brought into the store and brought them up here for her if she still wanted them....Try getting THAT service at home!

It's great for those super heavy purchases like giant dog food bags, cases of water, etc., cause they bring everything right into your home! Propinas accepted, of course. Must speak Spanish, though. - Wendy

Hi Alan... we are grateful that you sent us the report from the east side...how can we access future info from bajaponyexpress as you did...we are very interested in hearing how things are there....we live in todos santos (as you probably know) and have heard some news but are hungry for more as we are fairly isolated up in the northern mountains of new mexico at this time of year (returning to baja in mid october)...any advise where to obtain reports is gratefully received...thanks for writing us. - Tracy

As most know John Stewart, the legendary owner, of the Hotel California Passed away at 12:15 am Friday September 1st 2006 He was in La Paz in Feda Paz Hospital. He died of Congenital Heart Failure.

He will be remembered with great endearment and love from all of those whose life he touched. He was a classy man, with great taste. Always an eye for detail and color, the improvements to the town of Todos Santos will be remembered for decades to come.

Debbie is fairing well. We have had some rough days, but her spirits are up and her smile open to any loving touch. She promised John to continue his efforts and the legend with the help of Alejandro and Fito, who run the Hotel with calm, ease and a great feeling of family care. She has no desire to leave Todos Santos, this is her home and her employees her family.

Hurricane John, came and took John to a calmer quieter place. Our prayers are with the people of the East Cape who did not fair so well.
