Proposed Coastline Development Plan - Todos Santos, Pescadero, Las Playitas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Updated September 20, 2007 - by , Publisher, Baja Western Onion

Master Plan Final Draft Presented - After a very late announcement mailed on September 12 to a few people, and then a last-minute change of hour from 5 PM to 7 PM, Tuesday's meeting at the High School saw the delivery and presentation of the final draft of the Master Development Plan for Todos Santos, Pescadero and Las Playitas. The Architect, Marco Antonio Dominguez Valles, from the engineering firm hired to draft the plan, Prof. Victor Manuel Castro Cosio, Presidente Municipal del XII Ayuntamiento de La Paz, and Maria Elena Yee Savin, Directora General de Desarrollo Municipal of La Paz were on hand to deliver and receive a printed copy of the draft document, a fairly weighty book about 6" thick. Sr. Dominguez Valles gave a detailed Power Point presentation of the Plan's general outline. This meeting was fairly short in comparison to prior meetings, and comments from the audience of about 80 attendees were limited.

There will now follow a period of 30 days within which the public can suggest changes and comments in writing. For them to carry any weight, any changes must be based in fact or law and not just opinion or emotion. The Plan Committee then has 45 days thereafter to respond to the changes or suggestions received. After that, the plan in its final form will move on to adoption by the La Paz municipal government, then on to the state for inclusion under law.

Update September 21, 2007 (Submitted by Elena Moreno) - If someone wants to comment, bring forth objections or change elements of the Master Plan they should direct their comments to:

    Attn: Lic. Berta Montana Cota
